Ok pretties, so if you're anything like me any at all not only do you love to shop, but you will love to brag to your friends about how you got that "latest designer we though we could never afford" for half, or more off the price.
So below are a few websites I have discovered on my journey to fabulous on my maybe-not-so-much budget (for now).
http://www.giltgroup.com/
The Gilt Group
Love them!!! It's like a designer sample sale right on your computer, new items are available everyday at noon, but move fast, most of their merchandise is gone with in 2-3 days!!
http://www.ebags.com/
E-Bags
Who doesn't love a hot bag!!! Next to the shoes it can totally change a girls day!! E-bags always has great promotions going on, so be sure to register when you purchase, they have great sales and markdowns, so check back often.
http://www.shopittome.com/
Shop It To Me
Can I tell you guys that this is one of my FAVORITE recent new discoveries!!! It's like a personal shopper on line. You choose the brands you like and they send you an e-mail, as frequent as you like with wonderfully marked down prices from that brand. WONDERFUL!!! They have been feeding my French Connection fetish for a while now.
http://www.rockerbabyinc.com/
Rocker Baby Nation
Never stress about gifts for babies ever again!!! If you want to be that aunt, cousin, friend etc. with the best gifts definetly check out Rocker Baby. I know the owners personally and each dress is stitched by hand, the fabric is picked by them personally. This is a family oriented company and they run their business on family values. I wish my kids could fit their stuff (contact me for special order items for you or your home dresses, pillows, curtains, etc.).
I hope these help you guys, I will be adding more soon

So, for those of you who don't know 300 is one of my all time FAVORITE movies ever, and as I was at a creative block yesterday I decided to watch it, since it was home waiting for me fresh from amazon after my vacation.
Besides all the sexy Spartans (sorry guys) there are some very inspiring lines in this movie (no, really). One that stood out to me was "...we fight as one impenatrable force, each man protecting the soldier next to him...". Now for those of you who haven't seen 300, the king (Leonidis (drool) sorry again fellas) was explaining to a hunchback why he couldn't become a Spartan. His deformity wouldn't allow him to raise his sheild high enough to protect the soldier next to him. (See google for history on Sparta and how they raised their sons, good stuff!!)
Well, when I heard that line a light went off in my head. I mean when you think about it, isn't that what any strong person is? One impenetrable force? When you think of all the things, the potentially negative things that we come across everyday we have to be impenetrable (looking in thesaurus for synonym, you wouldn't believe how hard it is to type this word). If we let everything someone said to us affect us we would be a walking pile of skin and mess.
You know the routine, you walk out the house knowing you are THE FLYEST THING WALKING. You have your head up high stepping just right, music blasting in the car, smiling and waving and out of nowhere somone feels the need to rain on your parade. You have two choices, you can realize that the sad little person probably just let out a cry for help and sympathize because you may have once been in that place, or you can stoop to their level.
The impenetrable force would just ignore this mishap and understand that everyone is not on the frequency. Don't be the cat that eats the mouse. Let that mouse go, they need help honey. You my friend are going to pray for that person and hope they get the help they need, hop in your car and keep it moving.
Another thing I wanted to point out is the word ONE. Sure, it's a number but alot of people fail to see the strength in it. So you are just one; but everything starts from one. Just one smile change someones day, one phone call, one hug, one kiss, that one special person (for those that have one). And most importantly there is ONE GOD who is our creative force, our energy, our source of all things beautiful and of course, pretty.
Love Always

Hi Pretties!!!
Hope everybody is enjoying their weekend!! I am definetly enjoying mines being in sunny Atlanta. I will be returning to Jersey tomorrow night, bitter-but sweet.
Sweet because I know I have to get back to work and school, to my life and to accomplishing my goals. Every day puts me closer to my finish line. Every test I take, every class I attend, every book I read, every good day at work, every time I meet my requirments; each and every one of these single tasks put me one step closer to where I need to, and want to be.
How do I see this? Because this is my perception, my reality.
I have been told that I am too care free, that I just don't care enough. So not the truth. I just don't stress over what I can not control (which is anything besides myself). Sure I have days that are not as great as others (notice I didnt say "I have bad days) but so what, it's still a day I lived, a memory I made, times I shared. I have my life, which is more than someone had a second ago. Like I said, everyday is a step closer to my goals.
I didnt wake up with this wonderful new perception, it took a while. I had to realize that I had to take responsibility for my life, it wasn't anyone or anything else's fault whether things good or bad happen to me. Don't get me wrong I totally know that God is in control of everything and everyone, but God has also given us the materials we need to do what we need to change our perceptions, and therefore our realities.
I have a friend who has more than enough money but everytime something comes up he complains, I couldn't take it anymore. I told him, stop complaining about what happened and thank God that you have the resources to take care of the situation. The next day he text and said thank you so much, I never thought of it that way and I feel totally uplifted, and he never had that problem again (the complaining problem).
I don't let people complain to me, it's not that I'm not a good friend or that I don't want to be sympathetic but I can't have that negative energy affecting my space. Let's figure out the problem and get an answer, point blank, it's that simple. If we can't figure out the answer, don't stress let's pray about it and let God work it out. In the meantime what can we/I learn from this? What is God trying to teach me? What lesson is to be learned here.
Perception and preperation. Ladies, get Triple A, it's not that much and the hassle saved is worth it. Pay your bills first, you'll be surprised how good you feel, which will make those shoes you had to wait for look even better on you. Live YOUR life, not someone else's. Trust me these are all lessons I had to learn the hard way, but I hope to pass on to you.
Change your perception, change your reality, it may take some work at first but then it become second nature and now here you are living the fabulous life!

A big thanks to you guys who have already started following, just to update you I have an official EIN (Employer ID Number) and have filed as an LLC with the state of New Jersey.
If you have any ideas or suggestions, things that have been on your mind, advice you need send me an email at prettyneverrest@gmail.com, all submissions will be anonymous, unless you state otherwise.
I'm preparing for a summer hair event, don't have a name for it yet, so if you have ideas let me know, but if you know a student who is deserving of some hair help this summer (braids) let me know. The amount of participation (donations) recieved will determine the number of girls we can help. I know I can comfortably do two on my own, the rest depends on you guys.
So, please help me get the word out and keep the good energy, love and prayers coming.

Hi!!
Welcome to my blog, Pretty Never Rest. I started Pretty Never Rest because I have always wanted to help other women avoid the pitfalls of low self-esteem. Just to be honest (which is the only way I ever will be with y'all) I didn't feel decent about myself until my mid-twenties. It led me to make a lot of mistakes, none of which I regret becuase I'm me now.
So I'm 30 and fearless now. I've been through 2 marriages and have 3 wonderful daughters. I work full time and am a full time student, none if which would be possible without uber-supportive parents. I am in a great place in life and if I can help anyone else get to this place then I'll be happy with that.
I totally and undoubtedly thank God and know without Him this couldn't be possible. I believe in order to know and love ourselves we must first learn, communicate and love God. The Creation has to connect with the Creator or how will it sustain?
So my vision is to link other women up with tips on healthy living, inside and out. The motto of Pretty Never Rest is: When you look better, you do better; and everyone knows that is the truth. From what you eat to how to get that new make-up trend I hope to help you to inspire to live your best life.
I want to take this from the blog to the community, this summer I hope to help a few deserving girls with their hair this summer. We all know that our hair can set our mood, so if we can help a future leader keep it going with a great hairstyle, or even be able to swim and enjoy the summer, I would love too.
So if you know a student with a 3.0 GPA or higher let me know about her, I am hoping to get a few hairdressers and braiders on board, so if you know anyone that would be interested let me know about that too, send all questions or interest to PrettyNeverRest@gmail.com.
